Answers to common waxing concerns, pre-care and aftercare guidance for best results.
Most clients enjoy smooth skin for three to six weeks, depending on hair growth cycles and body area. Facial hair often regrows sooner while legs last longer. Regular waxing can reduce regrowth speed and soften hair, extending time between appointments.
Some discomfort is normal, especially during first appointments, but trained technicians use fast, efficient techniques and soothing products to minimize pain. Exfoliate and avoid caffeine before your visit; breathe deeply and take over-the-counter analgesics if necessary, after consulting your doctor.
Ensure hair is at least a quarter inch long, avoid exfoliating for two days prior, and skip tanning or retinoids in the days before. Clean, dry skin without lotions helps wax adhere properly.
Waxing can sometimes cause temporary redness, sensitivity, or ingrown hairs. We minimize risks with proper technique, exfoliation advice, and post-wax soothing treatments. If you have a history of severe reactions, inform us for alternative hair removal options.
Most people return every three to six weeks depending on area and personal hair growth. Smaller areas like brows need more frequent upkeep while larger areas like legs can go longer. We'll recommend a tailored schedule based on your hair cycle.
Certain conditions—active skin infections, sunburn, recent chemical peels, open wounds, or uncontrolled diabetes—may preclude waxing. Pregnant clients and those on specific medications should disclose them. Technicians perform consultations to ensure safety and suggest alternatives if needed.
